North Hanover Township has a total area of 17.423 square miles with a population of approximately 7,680 people.

North Hanover is one of the leaders in the Burlington County Farmland Preservation program. Nearly $9.7 million of state and county funds, coupled with $1.3 million of local tax dollars have been utilized to date. So far we have:
  • Preserved 24 properties -- over 3,000 acres of farmland that will never be developed.
  • Received certification from the State Council on Affordable Housing that shields North Hanover from high density housing development.
  • Obtained a State Planning Incentive Grant that will set aside $3.3 million over five years which will be used to help preserve an additional 1,200 acres of farmland.

Burlington County Clerk Tim Tyler Advises Residents of an Important Change to the Vote by Mail Law.  All previous versions of Vote by Mail applications are to be destroyed as they are now obsolete.  You must re-apply.  More information and ballot application.

Burlington County Animal Shelter's "Cat and Dog Days of Summer".  Cat adoption fee for August is $20.  Dog adoption fee is $40.  More information.
