North Hanover Township has a total area of 17.423 square miles with a population of approximately 7,680 people.

North Hanover is one of the leaders in the Burlington County Farmland Preservation program. Nearly $9.7 million of state and county funds, coupled with $1.3 million of local tax dollars have been utilized to date. So far we have:
  • Preserved 24 properties -- over 3,000 acres of farmland that will never be developed.
  • Received certification from the State Council on Affordable Housing that shields North Hanover from high density housing development.
  • Obtained a State Planning Incentive Grant that will set aside $3.3 million over five years which will be used to help preserve an additional 1,200 acres of farmland.

Due to the anticipated delay in the Burlington County Board of Taxation’s ability to strike tax rates on time, I have been directed to issue an estimated 2015 third quarter installment bill.  This billing will be due on August 1, 2015 with a grace period until August 10, 2015.   Once the Burlington County Board of Taxation strikes the tax rate for North Hanover Township, a reconciled 4th quarter 2015/preliminary 2016 bill will be issued.  We apologize for any inconvenience.
